Safari Island Resort Maldives is a small 4* resort, ideal for those who really want to just relax and unwind. Throughout the day you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere on the powdery sandy beach, looking over the turquoise lagoon.
Accommodation choices are Beach Villa, a Semi Water Villa which gives you the best of both, as being on the edge of the water. Then there are the Over Water Villas, featuring a stunning glass bottomed coffee table. Wi-Fi is available at a cost.
One of the great bonuses of staying at Safari Island Resort is the free use of their luxury safari boats, 1 night for every 7 days stay. This is requested via hotel reception, although you can put in an advance request through us.
The lagoon restaurant is shaded by a magnificent white roof and is where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. Enjoy buffet style meals including theme nights. Sunday night dinner is Maldivian and Asian night. A chargeable a la carte menu is also available in the restaurant. The Palm Bar is next to the restaurant, with seating inside and out, and is a great place to enjoy a drink. The cafe is also located here. There is a live band performance every other Monday. The Sundown Bar is on a wooden deck and is the place to watch the sun sink into the water. The pool Bar serves drinks and snacks through the day. There are crab races here on Tuesday evenings from 9.00pm.
Safari Island Resort is a little paradise with its abundance of breathtaking nature. The lagoon is perfect for snorkeling, with 4 entry channels. Take a guided snorkel or try night snorkeling. The Joy Dive Centre offers half day and full day diving trips. There are some wonderful dive sites close to the island, including Fish Head, Maaya Thila, Hafsa Thila, Fesdu Wreck and Manta Point.
The Water Sports centre can offer you a rang of activities, from stand-up paddle, wake-boarding, catamaran sailing and water-skiing. Choose a combination of 3 or 4 activities to get a discounted package price. There are also island hopping, sunset and dolphin cruises. Land sports include tennis, beach volleyball and football. There is also a games room.
The Duny Thai Spa at Safari Island Resort emphasise the healing of body, mind and soul. With treatments set in contemporary oriental surroundings. Treatments are designed to relax and rejuvenate, with massages, wraps, reflexology, after sun treatment, facials and nail care. If you want to keep fit there is a fully equipped gym.
