Park Hyatt Maldives
Park Hyatt Maldives is a luxury resort on a private island, north of the Equator in one of the largest and deepest atolls in the world, North Huvadhoo, Gaafu Alifu Atoll. The resort has a freshwater infinity pool that overlooks the Indian Ocean with chill-out areas, sunloungers and lush green palms. There is also a second pool in the spa area.
This atoll offers some of the Maldives’ most beautiful snorkeling. The best place for this is the drop-off between the arrival jetty and the water villas. You can either rent the snorkeling equipment and go on your own or join a guided trip with the resident marine biologist. There are over 40 world-class dive sites nearby and diving can be arranged through the 5* PADI dive centre.
Park Hyatt Maldives has just 50 villas, either on the beach or over the water. These impressive villas are designed with the comfort and luxury in mind, whether they are nestled in amongst the tropical foliage, a few steps from the ocean, or elevated over the water. Choose from Park Villa, Park Pool Villa, Park Water Villa or Park Sunset Water Villa. All will accommodate up to 3, except the sunset water villas, which are for 2 adults only. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all the villas and public areas.
There are 2 restaurants, The Dining Room, an à la carte dining restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and features a range of international cuisine. The Island Grill is open for dinner and offers a contemporary dining experience with sand between your toes.
At Park Hyatt Maldives can do as little or as much as you want. Pamper yourself with either a personal or couple treatment in the Spa, dive or snorkel the reef or simply relax by the pool. There is a fully equipped fitness centre, where you can book in for a yoga class. You can even take Maldivian cooking classes, visit an inhabited island or take an excursion to see dolphins. You can also go out on a dhoni with the marine biologist and learn all about the local fish. There is also a weekly cocktail party on the beach each Saturday.
To get to Park Hyatt Maldives from Male Airport it is a 60 min flight and a 30 minute speedboat trip, but it is well worth it.
