Lounges at Velana Airport
There are 3 lounges at Velana Airport for international passengers. The Wellness Lounge in the international arrivals side of the airport, where you can pay at the door for entry. Find it at ground level, Open from 8.00 to 23.00 daily. You can get food, drink and have a shower. There is also Wi-Fi and you can also enjoy massage and spa treatments as well as nail and beauty services. so why not escape the crowds before your flight in a VIP lounge at Male Velana Airport. This lounge is open to all travellers, regardless of airline or flight class.
Moonimaa Lounge is the domestic lounge. Located Landside, this lounge is found outside and to the right of the main entrance to the terminal building, before check-in and security control. The lounge is accessible for both International and Domestic flights. International passengers should visit the lounge prior to checking in and you need to allow sufficient time to go to the International Terminal and check-in for your flight.
The Leeli Lounge has contracts with most of the airlines that fly to international destinations from Male. First class and business class passengers on these airlines usually have access to the lounge, but the Leeli lounge doesn’t accept paid entry, Also it is not part of the Priority Pass program that comes complimentary with some premium travel cards such as the platinum card from American Express.
The Maamahi Executive Lounge accepts walk-ins, entry will depend on capacity as space is limited. You may have access with your ticket, airline status or memberships.
Please remember that the Maldives is a Muslim nation and no alcohol is served in the lounges at Velana Airport. Also note that these lounges are not as plush as the resort hotels you have just come from.
