Anantara Dhigu is in the South Male Atoll, a short 35minutes from the airport by speedboat. With 110 villas and over water suites, some with their own private plunge pools, there is something for everyone. Anantara Dhigu is a family friendly resort, and one of the few with a kids club and interconnecting beach villas. There are 6 restaurants and 2 bars, so you are never far from delicious food and refreshing drinks. There are also more dining choices for you at the sister island, Anantara Veli Resort. There’s a lovely infinity pool, a PADI dive centre for divers and the water-sports centre offers Surfing, Kite-surfing and Parasailing. You can also kayak over to Guli Fushi Island at the edge of the lagoon to go snorkeling. On land there is a Fitness centre, Tennis courts, Volleyball and Badminton. Anantara Veli is the small sister island of Anatara Dhigu. It’s an adults only resort, ideal for couples or groups of friends looking for a relaxing island holiday. This resort to has an infinity edge pool and a fitness centre, as well as a choice of water-sports, which include diving, surfing, deep sea fishing and sailing. Anantara Dhigu also has a fitness centre and a library with internet stations and it also has the Sundari Ayurvedic Spa, for your relaxing treatments. The resort is located on the rim of the turquoise lagoon, which it shares with Dhigu and Naladhu, making it a great place for snorkeling.
Anantara Naladhu is the smallest of the 3 island resorts, with just 20 villas, all of them with their own private pool. The resort has its own fitness centre, a beachfront lap pool and offers a choice of snorkeling trips to neighbouring reefs. There is tthe Ocean Retreat Spa, for your relaxing treatments. Then there is the PADI dive centre to organise all your diving for you or else you can enjoy an afternoon of windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling, deep-sea fishing or sailing. Don’t forget to do a sunset cruise on the island’s luxury yacht.
Anatara Kihavah Villas
Anatara Kihavah Villas is in the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The resort is a 30 minute seaplane flight from Malé International Airport. There are 79 luxury villas with private infinity pools, an underwater wine cellar, a 6 suite overwater spa and, at 49 metres, one of the Maldives’ longest pools. Play volleyball or badminton on the beach, keep fit at the fitness centre, take a cookery class or check out the library. For water-sports there is kayaking, sailing, snorkeling, wind-surfing and big game fishing. There is also a PADI dive centre that can offer you access and transport to a number of nearby reefs. Anantara Kihavah has a Marine Lab on the island and the the Kihavah Kids Club, which has a full range of fun and enriching activities to keep your 3 to 12 year olds happy.
